Tap Menu → "Add a place to the map" or tap and hold empty area on the map in order to see "Add a place to the map" button on the place page (scroll the page up). Pull the map to select the correct location of the object and tap "Done" in the top right-hand corner.
Then select a category. You can scroll down the list or use search.
Depending on the place you can edit or add multilingual names, addresses and other details such as opening hours, phone, website, email, cuisine, ZIP code or wifi availability. Once you have finished adding the info, tap "Save" in the top right-hand corner.
Done! Now, you can see added object on the map. You can edit added information if you expand white banner and press "Edit Place". If you want to delete added place, scroll page down and select "Delete".
Note: once your edits have been uploaded to OSM, you should delete them directly at OpenStreetMap.org (OSM).
Alternatively, if there is no necessary category in our list, you can add the place on OSM web site:
- Log in to be able to edit information
- Find the address of your place on the map and add the object to the map (click on "Edit place" option on the top of the tool bar).
In the OpenStreetMap wiki article you can find available categories that can be assigned to the objects on the map.
Your changes done in MAPS.ME or on OSM web site will be available for MAPS.ME users in one of the next updates of map data in the app.
