You can import bookmarks that were sent from MAPS.ME or other apps that export bookmarks in KML or KMZ format:
1. Open shared KML/KMZ file with bookmarks sent by email, instant messenger or cloud storage, for example, iCloud or Google Drive.
iOS
Tap the file with bookmarks (KML or KMZ format) → tap "Share" button in the upper right corner → choose "Copy to maps.me" in the pop-up window.
Android
Tap the file with bookmarks (KML or KMZ format) → choose "Open with MAPS.ME" in the pop-up window (if you have no other apps that support KML files, the file will be instantly open in MAPS.ME).
Alternatively, you can copy KML files to the app folder. After that, you should open the bookmarks menu and press "Convert" button in the pop-up window.
Note: KMZ is a zipped KML file, so you should unpack it before you copy it to the app folder.
If you have an Android device you can use almost any file manager and choose to open kml file with MAPS.ME. Some file managers like Samsung file manager can't read .kml or .kmz files, but you can use other file managers, for example, Total Commander.
2. It will be open with MAPS.ME and you’ll see "Bookmarks loaded successfully! You can find them on the map or in Bookmarks Menu screen".
